In the final term of Reception staff complete an Early Years Foundation Stage Profile (EYFSP) for each child, assessing their development against each of the Early Learning Goals.

Year 1 Phonics Screening
The purpose of the phonics screening check will be to confirm that all children have learned phonic decoding to an age-appropriate standard. Children who have not reached this level should receive extra support from their school to ensure they can improve their decoding skills, and will then have the opportunity to retake the phonics screening check in Year 2.

Key Stage 1 SATs Results
We are delighted to share our results for the Key Stage 1 National Assessments which primary school children take at the end of Year 2. These tests are often called SATs and are set by the government to assess children in maths and literacy. The children undertake tests in maths, in reading, as well as in spelling, punctuation and grammar.
The children were also assessed by their class teacher.

Year 4 Multiplication Check
The Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) is a Key Stage 2 assessment to be taken by pupils at the end of year 4. The MTC’s purpose is to ensure the times tables knowledge is at the expected level. The Multiplication Times Tables Check is an online test where the pupils are asked 25 questions on times tables 2 to 12.

These tests are often called SATs and are set by the government to assess children in maths and literacy. The children undertake tests in maths, in reading, as well as in spelling, punctuation and grammar.
The children’s writing is also assessed by their class teacher and this year our teacher assessments were validated by external moderators.
